EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE EDUCATION WORKSHOP

Delhi Public School Chas in association with Quality Education Asia, a team of committed educationists who are consistently working towards professional development in schools since 2012 has taken the initiative to set up a structured International curriculum for Play School / Pre School and Preparatory.

The Structured International curriculum for Play school / Pre-school / Preparatory was launched by Mr. Martin Matthews in Delhi Public School Chas on 5th December 2017. Mr. Martin along with Ms. Nadene Mackay and Ms. Rupam Sah, CEO of Quality Education Asia were here in the school to conduct Principals' Leadership Conclave where in Principals of schools of all over Jharkhand were present to listen to the noted resource persons.

The structured International curriculum will benefit a well-balanced education right from the grass root level. This curriculum is aimed at training teachers and preparing them for the 21st century education system. A well-researched and defined curriculum will set the standards of learning skills, life skills and educational skills being developed in the child.

It received a commendable response from different schools and more than 100 teachers have registered to adapt themselves to the new methodologies of teaching-learning.

Training for the first batch of Teachers is on Saturday, 16th December 2017 at Delhi Public School, Chas. The day long session would be covering amongst others the understanding of Early childhood care, the domains of learning and pedagogy for early years, the role of teachers' in child development and developing a conducive learning environment. DPS, Chas Bokaro launches Early Childhood Care Education training programme for teachers of play schools and pre-primary schools across the city.

Delhi Public School, Chas, in association with Quality Education Asia organised Early Childhood Care Education (ECCE) workshop on 16th December 2017.The programme attracted more than 100 Pre-primary teachers and educationistswithin the district with the objective to understand the domains of learning and pedagogy for early childhood. Ms. RupamSah, a CBSE resource person and CEO of Quality Education Asia was the resource person of the event. The event was organised in two different sessions. The first session focused on the understanding of ECCE. She discussed how to make lesson plans inclusive of three major objectives of teaching Pre-Primary students viz cognitive, affective and psychomotordevelopment of the child. She laid much emphasis on ‘Gross Motor Skills’ and ‘Fine Motor Skills’. The second session focussed on understanding the Pre-Primary kids leading to a conducive learning environment. Ms. RupamSah reflected the role of teacher’s attitude in child’s development and parent teacher collaboration. The workshop had an open interaction wherein the participants were made to understand the significance of relating to the level of the small kids and explore their horizon. The Chief Guest and Programme Advisor of this workshop, Dr.Hemlata S. Mohan, President, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya Complex and Director & Principal, Delhi Public School, Bokaro in her address emphasised the importance of an organised curriculum for Pre-Primary kids and urged all the delegates to implement this curriculum in their respective schools in word and spirit. Shri Prabhat Kumar, IPS, DIG, Coal Field who was present on the occasion appreciated the efforts put in by Delhi Public School, Chas in taking up the initiative of bringing a more organized curriculum for Pre-Primary kids. The participating teachers appreciated the large and well-equipped infrastructure of the school and where highly delighted to participate in such a great educational event. The programme concluded with the felicitation of the participants by Shri Prabhat Kumar, and vote of thanks given by Mr. K. Krishna Rao, Principal, Delhi Public School, Chas.
